Back in 2023, I had my first encounter with tea. I decided to approach it as a learner, gradually transitioning my lifestyle from alcohol to tea.

In 2024, I dedicated an entire year to studying Chinese tea, learning to differentiate between tea types, quality grades, and proper brewing techniques. After delving into the world of white tea and Pu-erh tea, I discovered that Bohea tea still aligned best with my personal taste preferences. In the latter half of 2024, my tea mentor, Jac, introduced me to some high-quality aged teas. Beyond tree age, these teas had been stored for decades. Among the finest were 60-year-old white and black teas, 50-year-old Bohea, and Pu-erh teas aged between 15 and 20 years. This deepened my appreciation for the captivating characteristics of tea.

One thing became clear: the best tea must come from the oldest tea trees, grown in the most exceptional locations, and be of the highest quality.

Toward the end of 2024, I began discussing my vision of creating my own curated tea selection and collection. This is how Litea was born—a collection of the finest teas, selected and preserved. The first year’s selection (二〇二五) will focus on the three pits and two streams region, showcasing the highest-quality Bohea tea with an initial signature packaging design.
